Already Done

For the last two weeks I’ve heard many, and probably you yourself have declared, He turned it.  A dear brother in the gospel by the name of Tye Tribbett recently released his latest album entitled “Greater Than.”  On this album there’s a song, some even went as far as making and posting videos on the song “He Turned It.”  Now, many of us, especially excuse my language “black folks” hear a beat and absolutely lose it.  I mean come on, how many times have you been in service in your chair sitting down, quietly worshipping or maybe not even feeling the song that the worship leader was singing, but as soon as the keys go a little bit higher, and the speed of the drums increase you jump out of you seat and bust out in a praise.  I’m laughing to myself now because I’m envisioning this happening Sunday after Sunday; although there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it at all.  All I’m saying with this song by Tye Tribbett “He Turned It” is it that people just like the song is up-tempo and you can get your dance on to it, or is it the lyrics of the song.  I know most of us have encountered something in our life that when we think back we can say “He Turned It.”  I can even think about my own personal life and lose my mind when I just think about what God turned around for me.  My purpose for this blog is to redirect your mind and choice of words.  Today let’s not focus on what’s going wrong in our lives, what bills need to be paid, how bad you are feeling in your body, but instead go back in your mind and think about a situation that God turned around for you.  Sometimes we spend too much time in prayer about things we need and desire verses just thanking God for what He already did. Remember that time…you fill in the blank, remember when he/she…you fill in the blank, remember when they said…you fill in the blank, remember when you felt…you fill in the blank.  Brothers and sisters, God has done so much for you and I that even if we wake up every morning declaring that God turned it, when you look at the word “turned” that’s past tense so get excited, put on your shouting shoes and declare that whatever the enemy tries to do, God already stepped in and TURNED it.  It this doesn’t get you excited I don’t know what will.  My word for you today is He Turned It, God bless you and declare this today and everyday and walk in your victory.
