Are you Contagious?

                                                                                    

            Sitting here thinking to myself, Lord I have nothing; what do you want to download into me on tonight.  As I continued to sit here I specifically felt this drop in my spirit, “are you contagious?”  In this life we encounter so many different things, people, attitudes, personalities, likes and dislikes.  In these encounters I want you to ask yourself the question “Am I contagious?”  Are you the one that demands respect when you walk into a room without opening up your mouth?  Do you alter the atmosphere when you walk into an unfamiliar place?  The love and zeal that you have for God and His people, can people sense that and desire what you have living on the inside of you?  Do you present yourself to be humble, with a sweet spirit that constantly draw people to you?  The word contagious means to spread or tending to spread from one another; transmissible by direct or indirect contact.  Regardless if we intend to or not, we are all contagious.  Let’s not walk around spreading hatred, jealousy, anger, unbelief and just nasty attitudes.  Let’s spread our good in us, not the junk that we let sit and marinate for years.  It’s easy to let this stuff sit on our face, in our actions and even in our tone of voice that when other people encounter us they can sense the junk that’s inside of us.  Some of us walk around holding onto things that affect the people around us.  These issues cause some of us to put up a wall, not allowing others to come into our lives and love us.  Others may feel that they can’t trust anyone and that they must do everything on their own.  Sad, but true some even block their own blessings or even turn it down based off the presentation of the package.  Yes I said it; turn it down based off the presentation.  Stop letting our mess infect those around us so lets start here with a few things.  Unforgiveness, let it go.  Hate, let it go.  Jealousy, let it go.  Insecurities, let it go.  Greed, let it go.  Bad attitude, let it go.  Trust issues, let it go.  Let go off all of this and grab hold to God.  Our Lord and  Savior is contagious and I believe if you grab hold to him and continue to seek Him, He will hold onto you and give you more of Him.  Get what God has for you, let it marinate in you and SPREAD THAT!
