Bring Back Our Girls
International Affairs are equally as important as Domestic Affairs, and yet it does not seem that our Domestic Affairs take as must precedent for the media to cover. I watched the rally of support behind the tragedy that faces Nigeria and I wonder what about the young girls here in America. We know in America we have an Amber Alert system, but often times those of missing minority girls go unnoticed or reported.
We are outraged and called to action when we hear about "terrorism" and "genocide" in other countries, but what do we say here in America? It seems the issues plaguing our country are often swept under the rug. If you mention anything about the attack on the Church and how we have taken prayer out of schools, you are told to be quiet and that religion freedom is protected under the constitution, and thus is a separation of church and state. Which is why we do not need to address God in the education system, and we promote the theory of evolution. When we speak of sexuality (same sex marriages), we try to lump it in with the Civil Rights Movement & the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and instead of combatting one issue we minimize another.
Right now today, we have crimes being committed against, all in America and yet what you see more often than not is the media only identifying one group of people as the cause of the problems in this country. We have been lead to believe that the only people who are killing each other in
America are black. You hear it from all sides. Not realizing that crime against same ethnic groups is similar. You are more likely to come into contact people who are like you than not, thus it goes to logic that the crimes committed would be of people of like statue. You see we never want to look at America in a dark light. I mean it is still the greatest country in the world, however, I think it is time for us to clean up our own house, before we start throwing daggers at others.
I may be wrong, but I think cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, Detroit, Cleveland, and others would agree that we need to start
investing in the growth and development of our people, the American people.
