It is agreed that Delilah played a significant part in Samson's demise, but I see that pride played a bigger part. Consider that she made it known what she was seeking, but it was his lofty ideas of invincibility that caused his fall. Remember how in several instances he lied about his weakness, to make a joke of it. It is as the bible says in paraphrase that you can't hold fire to your chest and not get burn. Often times we know that we are entangled in the throes of the enemy, but we stay because we think we can't be beat. Eventually, as in the case of Samson, we get tired and lose our sight. Just my two cents-I might be off base
