Generational Curse
Generational Curse
I have to take a step back and just truly meditate on God’s word. I have found myself being perplex as of late. On June 16, what should be a day of honor and respect, I saw a lot of anger, resentment, and disrespect towards natural fathers. It’s funny, because as someone who is fatherless, and had my fair share of discontentment towards my natural father, it never cease to amaze me on how the choices of our parents affect us.
Ezekiel 18:19-20 ESV “Yet you say, ‘Why should not the son suffer for the iniquity of the father?’ When the son has done what is just and right, and has been careful to observe all my statutes, he shall surely live. The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffers for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.”
I want to be able to hug everyone and let them know that everything will be better. I want the parentless child, to understand that they will be able to overcome the woes of this world, and experience better tomorrow. My spirit cries out because of the inner turmoil I know that plagues a child who is faced with the reality that they do not have a parent. It is one of the easiest things to say, but I find hardest most to do, which is to forgive. We truly must get back to forgiveness and operating in love. We can want a lot of things, but we must comprehend that some things that are meant for our bad are truly for our good.
I stand on these words in hopes that someone will receive it –
John 8:36 ESV “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
