I pressed
Ok...Let me tell you about the day I had.....I went to church today. It’s the 1st Sunday of the New Year and I wanted to start my year off right, but I felt the devil and his imps were trying to hinder me. First, I go to my car and my windshield wiper on the driver side was broke. Ok, then I felt queasy and tired on my way to church, so I decided to get something to eat from McDonald’s….So I went the way I use to go to M&M’s house and I was so caught up in emotions, I missed my exit. I was lost, but I found my way to the McDonalds. OK, so I order a mocha frappe and 2 hash browns (no lectures). I drank the frappe and got a brain freeze, (ok this NEVER happens to me). While driving, I felt sick and got sick in the car, but recovered. I realized I missed the bus to go to Sunday School and I drove to the other church for Sunday School. I get out of the car and slipped on the black ice and hurt myself so bad, I laid on the ground for a few seconds. Head pounding, arm hurting, and face broke from the embarrassment, I get up and my sisters in Christ check me out to make sure, I was ok. We sat down waiting for Sunday School to start, only to be told it was cancelled……I surrendered. I was going home. My sister in Christ said “You pressed through all of this, there’s a blessing coming”. Well it did come. My Pastor let us have it today. I had an issue and the Lord answered my prayer through the sermon today.
The Bible says in:
Philippians 3:13-14
King James Version (KJV)
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
All I am saying is that I would have missed out today on a wonderful word, encouragement from my sisters in Christ, and being in the presence of the Lord.
PRESS ON!!! NO MATTER HOW CRAZY IT LOOKS!!
Be Fabulous and Be Blessed
