If God be for us, who can be against us?

³¹ What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Since we are in the week of celebrating Martin L. King's Birthday, which was officially yesterday, I was moved by newer quotes and comments that were stated on Facebook. Roland Martin made a few interesting comments. The first one that moved me was:

"Let's be clear: MLK was a RELIGIOUS leader before a civil rights leader. It was his commitment to God that gave him his power and authority!"

The second one was:

"Civil rights leaders, stop being about the fame and be about mobilizing/organizing for change. One rally isn't going to do it! #MLKDay"

Many times, and I am guilty of this, we are often enraged by any injustice that we see. We complain about the "ghettoness" on TV but we watch. Guilty. We want to see our neighborhoods, children, and society to better, but what movement have we started?

Guilty as charged. I really love our ancestors; they were the epitome of faith. It's interesting to me that as janitors, garbage men, maids, etc., they were able to build institution, keep a family together, keep their children in line, and stayed together in marriage. There hopes and dreams were for us to do better......

Yet when I look around, we are making and doing more than they could have ever imagine, yet our HBCU's doors are being closed, children have lost their minds, and families units are a thing of the past.

Is this what they fought for? I often wondered if my grandparents or great grandparents could see the opportunities we have accomplished, would they be proud or disappointed.

Martin L. King Jr. stated "If a man hasn't found something he will die for, he isn't fit live." What are YOU willing to die for? Do you know that with the power of God, that if He is for us, who, I asked could be against us?
