Just Venting
Dear TC's Truth readers,
I hope today's blog finds you in good health. I just want to know if I can have your permission to vent a little? Oh, you don't mind? Well, thank you. You all are too kind. Here goes:
I really do enjoy a little social media here and there throughout my day, but I have to tell you I do not like watching others mistreat kids that were left in their care, or pushing 'play' to watch to young ladies beat the mess out of each other while others stand around and watch. This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. I refuse to waste any more of my time on this nonsense. What am I teaching others by engaging in such garbage? What does that do to my own mind? It’s bad enough I have to count to 10 when someone pushes my buttons, now I have that 'mess' playing back in my mind making me want to 'snap'. What is so bad that it has become worth fighting in the streets? What is wrong with the people behind the camera making sure they get every angle, only to post it on the internet for the world to see? I may not be able to stop the madness, but I sure as heck don't have to support it. Some may say, "it's just entertainment, something to do." Well, I say go to the movies or pick up a book! I’m just venting.
So, what's up with all this public display of nastiness? Women and men deciding that the world needs to see them half naked, twerking, jerking, and perculating all over the internet. Ok, so they may be grown or at least of age, but when you start recording babies bumping and grinding all over the place that crosses the line. Since when did it become 'cute' to watch our little kids moving their hips better than most adults? This behavior leads to worst behavior, because if you think it's cute when their little, how can you tell them any different when they grow up? Then we wonder why and how we got to be grandparents too soon?! And did you happen to see the video with the two little girls going back and forth cursing each other out like two old sailors?! Lord have mercy! Who in their right mind thought that was ok? I bet it will be a totally different story when those same kids start cursing their parents out! Don't get me wrong, some things on the internet are funny and some are informative, but some stuff just shouldn't be recorded for the public to see. I'm just venting.
I try not to complain a lot, but some things are really starting to bother me. I'm just putting it out there that we shouldn't support what we don't believe in. A lot of times it's just our nosey nature that wants to watch a fight, or see the silliness of other people. But we can't keep supporting this mess thinking it will just go away. Foolishness exist, in part because we promote it.
No hate mail it you enjoy watching 'crap'. I'm merely trying to shed some light on some things. We should be careful what we allow to enter into our minds. Remember, I'm just venting.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
