Lesson From Best Man's Holiday (Not a Spoiler Alert)

Ok, you know I had to talk about this movie. This movie gets 5 stars from me. I thought this movie was so real that I had to give the readers the top 5 lesson you should already know, but need to revisit.
#5 Friendships in College as Dyfunctional as they are last a lifetime.
Watching this movie reminds me of the bond I have formed with my friend during the college years. Now this can apply to any growing experiences such as going into the military forces, mission trips, or anything that from the ages of 18-22 years old forced you to live with people you don't know and learn how to manage with the small resources you had. I had the best time in my college years, and there are some things I have done, that is just like Las Vegas.....(What happened at Northern, stays at Northern). During my years in college, I am sooooo glad that there were no cell phones, videos, internet, etc. I was able to be a fool with my friends and live to tell the stories.
#4 The things you do as a young person, can and will follow you until adulthood.
Ya'll know about the stripper Murch married. It's a story line that happens all too often. You did something in your youth where pictures was taken or videos are taped and it happens to cough up in your life as a changed person. People are married, have children, and successful jobs. You become popular in the public eye and someone has a picture or video of you. So many people have been exposed over a wrong choice as a young person. Young people be careful of the choices you make. People do not keep secrets. I thank God there are no picutres!!! Whew!!!
#3 Seasons do change. You may be successful on one hand, but lose it all in the next minute.
Prepare for change. The future can look bright but problems do come. Prepare for the unexpected. I guarantee it comes.
#2 Forgive.
We have all done something that renders forgiveness. The bible says in:
Matthew 18:15
King James Version (KJV)
15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
Gain your brother and sister back. Relationships may not be restored, but let go of any malice that is held in your heart. No person is worth your peace.
#1 Cherish the time with your family and friends.
I cannot beat this in your head hard enough. I made the mistake thinking my friend M&M and I would be around forever. I lost him almost 3 years ago this coming Christmas Eve. I thought I had time to restore and make things right. Cherish your family and your friends. You only have today!!!
Be Fabulous and Be Blessed
