Stay Focused On Your Work
Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’ “ ‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ “ ‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’ ” (Matthew 13:24-30 NIV)
I was asked the question, "Why does God allow fake people to work in the church"? How many of us have wanted to know the answer to that question? It seems that the more you try to work in ministry, and do the right thing there is always some one in the church keeping up a bunch of mess. They are the ones that seem to be making things happen, while also stirring up the drama. The truth is, God will use whomever makes themselves available. Kingdom work must go forward. Yes, that person may only do the work for the recognition, and although that may not be the right reason, still they work.
It is not our job to say who should or should not work in ministry, even if their motive isn't pure. It is our duty to work and to be an example of how we should work in ministry. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16 NIV)
I know it can be irritating to deal with, but we must not focus so much on what's wrong as much as we focus on that which is right. Always remember to pray for others, as well as for yourself Be careful not to pass judgement, but to cover one another in prayer.
Let me encourage you to get busy with kingdom work. Stay humble and work without complaining. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, (Colossians 3:23 NIV)
It is my prayer that God would give the saints the spirit to serve. I pray that we would be so focused on kingdom building that we won't have time for madness in the ministry. I pray that we would love one another, pray for one another, then let God change the hearts of those who seek titles and recognition. I pray that we would allow God to search our own hearts, and if there be anything not like Him, please Lord, take it out!
