Worth It
We all know each of us will face moments in life when life seems unbearable. I’m talking about those moments when you don’t know if you are going to make it. In these moments, the opportunity to learn more about yourself is placed before you. You will find out in these times, who your real friends are, and even opportunities to develop relationships with new found friends. You may even find yourself alone, feeling lonely, hopeless, and maybe even miserable. When you smile, it’s not real; to be honest you are faking. You have to fake your smile to hide the pain and disappointment that you are currently feeling. When you get home, most of the time is spent thinking about how did you get here, why in the world does God have you here, and how are you going to get out of this mess. Everything that you invested in mentally, spiritually, financially, and even romantically seems to have all gone down the drain.
As you try to find your way out, it seems as if you are in a maze. A maze that leads you to one disappointment after another. You feel like you can’t get a break. Everything you do seems to be unsuccessful. You go to church every Sunday hoping to get a word from God, that doesn’t work. You get involved in something just to stay busy to help keep your mind off of everything, that doesn’t work. You watch your favorite movie hoping that would cheer you up, that doesn’t work. As you continue to hang in there, one day everything that looks as if it was working against you, now is working for you. Everything that you need and desire now is in place. All of the prayers that you prayed now seem to finally be answered. You begin to have hope again and feel like yourself, appreciating things in life and no longer taking things for granted. You finally realize that everything that you went through it was worth it. It was worth the pain. It was worth the doubt. It was worth the fears. It was worth the tears. It was worth the frustration, because now everything that God is now doing was all worth your trials. Don’t give up on your trials. Your trials only prepare you for what’s next, and believe me it’s worth it. Hang in there, trust God, surrender your will to His will, and I promise, God will work it out.
