You are not your past!!!

U are NOT Ur Past

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, (Romans 8:1 NIV)

I have done some things in my life that I am not proud of. I haven't always acted saved since I've been saved. I've talked about people when I know I shouldn't have. I've smoked a lil marijuana, and had a whole lot to drink. I've never considered myself a thief, yet I've taken things without leaving payment. My list could go on, but some of you just aren't ready for ALL that I've been through. TRUE STORY.

The funny thing is that someone reading this might be able to add to my list, but could never truly tell my story. I tell bits and pieces of my REAL LIFE because I know that I am not the only person with a questionable past. I know that if walls could talk, and shoes can tell where I've  been, that MY LIFE story would be the real SCANDAL. But I'm not alone, and neither are you. I know of what I've done, and yet there are many who have done far worst. TRUE STORY.

The point is...everyone who's saved, is saved from something! We all have a past. Yours may not be as colorful as mine, but you have one. Unfortunately, the enemy holds us hostage to our past. Keeping us from becoming what God has purposed for us to be. This kind of bondage makes us feel we aren't good enough for God. That we don't deserve His favor, His love, His forgiveness.

Know this, the enemy is a liar, and the truth is not in him. God loves us so much, that in spite of ourselves, in spite of our past, He wants to give us these precious gifts. (It's rude and distasteful to the giver to not accept gifts).

So, no matter what you've done, where you've been, or anything else that may have happened in your past, God stands with His arms out stretched. He wants you to be freed from the past that has you bound. For the record, the past can be as recent as last night. It's never too late to break loose. Throw off the past and embrace the new.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV)

Only me and Jesus can tell the WHOLE story of my TRUE STORY. I'm glad I was bought with a price. I'm saved, and I know I'm saved. Saved from something, saved from a lot of things, but I'm saved, I'm free, and I'm delivered.
